SSCNS allows gift giving in the following ways for Winter Holidays (December) and End of Year (June)
Class Gifts: gifts of equal-value are given to each teacher; gifts are facilitated by the Class Parents and paid for by each family
Family Gifts: homemade (craft, baked treat, etc) facilitated by the families; no coordination with the school or PA necessary
Additionally, the PA facilitates gift giving for Teachers Appreciation Week (April).
While all gift giving is optional, it is typical that all families participate. Approximate cost to participate in all of the above is $150/student/year. If you choose to participate in the listed Teacher gifting initiatives, $150/student/year will be collected via the PA Venmo in September of each year. In previous years, funding was collected for each initiative individually throughout the year via parent venmo’s - we feel that this will be a welcomed improvement to the process previously followed.
